Below is a list of resources and tools to help you if you're planning a technology related event in Vancouver.

Vancouver Venues

As we organize events here in Vancouver, we've compiled a list of basic information on various venues in town - from restaurants and bars to community spaces. The list is maintained as a Google Spreadsheet: Vancouver Venue Information

Event Resources and Tools

These are a variety of tools that we use over and over again when putting together events.

Techvibes

Techvibes is home to most comprehensive technology events list in the city. You can subscribe to their event feed, and submit yours using their web form.

Eventbrite

Use for event registration and attendee information gathering. Can be used for free to run free events. Also great for keeping attendees updated via email directly from within system.

Upcoming

Upcoming is a widely adopted event listing site with social networking features, and provides city and event-type specific RSS feeds as well. Even when you use Eventbrite to manage your RSVP list or tickets, list it on Upcoming and link to the Eventbrite page.

Facebook Events

Let's face it- Facebook's membership is such that you'd be crazy not to use for event promotion. For clarity though, link back to the actual RSVP list or ticket sales tool.
